About Jake
I help people untangle the effects of narcissistic abuse and relational trauma—those experiences that quietly reshape how we see ourselves and trust others. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, depleted, or unsure who they are after years of walking on eggshells. Together, we work toward rebuilding self-trust, restoring boundaries, and reconnecting with the parts of themselves that have been waiting to breathe again.
My approach is grounded, creative, and deeply trauma-informed. I often weave together Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic awareness, and expressive work to support emotional regulation and self-understanding. Before becoming a therapist, I spent two decades as a professional artist, and that creative background continues to shape how I help people explore meaning and self-expression in their healing.
Over the years, I’ve completed advanced training with leaders like Dr. Ramani Durvasula on gaslighting recovery, grief in narcissistic relationships, and the lasting impact of relational trauma. This work has given me both the tools and the compassion to help clients make sense of what’s happened and begin to move forward—slowly, safely, and on their own terms.
I offer in-person sessions in Calgary and secure online therapy across Alberta.
