Jacob Israel (he/him) is a Master of Social Work Intern Therapist dedicated to supporting clients on their journey to self-discovery and empowerment. With a background in providing support to various groups of people, including immigrants, neurodivergent folks, the 2SLGBTQ+ community, disabled folks, and Jewish students. Jacob brings a unique set of skills and insight to his role at KCC.
With a trauma-informed lens, as well as a passion for contributing to the awareness of mental health, Jacob encourages clients to overcome mental blocks, move towards their goals, and navigate relationship issues.
Jacob believes that everyone is the author of their own story. He's interested learning about the folks he works with, helping them feel heard, and supporting their personal growth and healing.
Outside of therapy, Jacob enjoys spending time with friends and family, being in nature, playing hockey and attempting at getting through an ever-growing movie list.
