Jacky is a Registered Physiotherapist at Physiolab Olympic Village. Born and raised in BC, he obtained his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at the University of British Columbia. During his studies, Jacky served as one of the head coaches of the UBC Weightlifting & Powerlifting Club – providing training and education to students looking to engage in recreational fitness and improve their physical activity levels. After gaining valuable experience working as a Kinesiologist, he decided to move across the pond to complete his Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, graduating with distinction. Additionally, Jacky is able to provide physiotherapy services in English and Cantonese.
Jacky employs a holistic style of treatment, combining manual techniques, movement re-education and individualized exercise prescription to reduce pain and correct dysfunction. He has completed Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Level 2 Upper and Lower Quadrant postgraduate courses through the CPA Orthopaedic Division, and holds additional certifications in Biomedical Dry Needling (BDN), Soft Tissue Release (STR) and Mulligan Concept techniques for the upper and lower body. Jacky is currently pursuing advanced training in orthopaedic manual therapy and manipulative physiotherapy.
Outside the clinic, you can find Jacky exploring the outdoors, traveling to new destinations and staying active in the gym. He is also an avid football and hockey fan, cheering for the New York Jets and local Vancouver Canucks.
