Israa (she/her) is an associate counsellor who is finalizing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at City University in Calgary. With experience as both an addiction support worker and a crisis line responder, she has walked alongside individuals during some of their most difficult moments. These roles have shaped her belief that healing begins with compassion, trust, and the knowledge that no one has to carry their struggles alone.
Her approach to counselling is grounded in warmth, empathy, and respect. She believes each person has the strength and wisdom within themselves to move toward growth, and she sees her role as walking beside clients as they uncover those inner resources. Israa is deeply committed to creating a space that feels safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, where clients can bring their full selves and explore life’s challenges openly.
Israa values cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and accessibility, and she honours the diverse experiences and identities clients bring into the counselling room. She is 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and dedicated to fostering resilience, empowerment, and self-compassion in those she supports. She is available to clients located in Alberta.
