About Irene

Irene is an Associate Counsellor with MindRight Counselling and Consulting Ltd. She completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Irene has spent many years working with children, teens, and young adults, as well as individuals with disabilities and their caregivers, as a teacher in the public school system and as a volunteer in her community. She utilizes a biopsychosocial framework and strengths-based perspective to address depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, cross-cultural concerns, and trauma. Working from a holistic and integrated approach, Irene draws from various therapeutic approaches (including but not inclusive of cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy), and parts work to help each person address their struggles. She values collaboration and an open dialogue between therapist and client as they work together towards improved health and well-being. Please email her to book sessions.
