About Infrared

Infrared sauna therapy helps your body release a number of toxins, including heavy metals such as mercury and lead. The infrared technology allows you to eliminate approximately 7x more toxins than a typical dry sauna or steam room. Sauna therapy promotes relaxation via cortisol balancing. It also supports muscle relaxation, muscle recovery, pain relief, and improves circulation. The heat generated by an infrared sauna can support weight loss as a 30-minute session can burn roughly 600 calories. Infrared saunas also help to purify your skin by eliminating toxins from the pores, increasing circulation and leaving you with clearer, softer, and healthier, glowing skin. At Valero Wellness we feature 2 unique Infrared Sauna rooms with built in showers to break up your sauna treatment with a cold immersion shower. This helps to rinse off toxins coming through the skin. The alternating hot and cold temperatures has been shown to reduce the pain of rheumatoid arthritis, improve circulation, reduce vasoconstriction and hypertension. It also improves the body’s antioxidant capabilities, improves immune function and enhances the body’s resistance to respiratory infections. The cold water immersion further reduces recovery time from exercise and training and reduces the effect of exercise induced muscle damage. NOTE: your session allows you 45min of alternating between sauna to shower. The room is reserved for you for a total of 60min.
