Hue (pronounced "Hway") is a double graduate of the Western-Eastern Integrated Orthopaedic Massage Therapy program and the combined Acupuncture and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at the Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has also earned a Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences) and a Bachelor of Arts (East Asian Studies) from the University of Alberta, as well as a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which included a 5-month internship in Chengdu, China. Hue has additionally completed a 6-month intensive mentorship with Ann Cecil-Sterman in Advanced Acupuncture and Classical Chinese Medicine.
Hue's treatments approach begins with looking at the whole person, emphasizing a holistic health approach through comprehensive assessments from both an Eastern and Western lens in order to provide a balanced, comfortable and effective treatment experience. She draws from her knowledge of Orthopaedic massage, RAPID Neurofascial Reset techniques, and the traditional Chinese medicine modalities of acupuncture/acupressure, moxabustion, cupping, gua sha/IASTM (scraping), and auricular (ear) therapy to foster a unique Eastern-Western integrative approach to pain management. In addition to treating musculoskeletal conditions and pain management, Hue also has a special interest in the management of mental-emotional wellness, and facial rejuvenation/cosmetic acupuncture. She welcomes people from all walks of life to her practice and will meet you where you're at.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Hue continuing to cultivate her knowledge reading books, nourishing her energy with nature walks and crafts, experimenting with traditional and cultural cuisines, and vying for her cat's affections.
