About Hope

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse, specializing in working with people living with severe mental illnesses and trauma. My work has supported individuals through crisis, complex emotional challenges, as well as the lasting impacts of trauma, and this experience continues to shape my caring, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to counselling. In my counselling practice, I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, and major life transitions, always centering care around each person’s unique strengths and needs. Drawing on both clinical expertise and deep respect for the human experience, I aim to help clients build insight, resilience, and practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. ________ I am also available for crisis counselling, offering either single sessions or short-term supports for individuals experiencing acute stress, emotional overwhelm, or significant life disruptions. My work focuses on stabilization, safety, and immediate support during moments that feel unmanageable. With extensive experience in mental health and complex care settings, I am skilled in helping clients navigate panic, grief, relational crises, workplace trauma, and sudden life changes. I offer a calm, grounded presence while guiding clients through practical strategies to regulate the nervous system, clarify next steps, and reduce immediate distress. ________ In addition, I offer trauma-informed wellness consulting for anyone who feels burned out, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. With over decade of experience in mental health and complex care, I understand the toll chronic stress takes on the nervous system, relationships, and sense of identity. This work helps you move out of survival mode and into a more sustainable, aligned way of living. Unlike counselling, which focuses on identifying and treating mental health conditions or processing past trauma, this service is forward-focused and practical. While grounded in trauma-informed principles, it centers on nervous system regulation, resilience, boundaries, and sustainable daily habits. Outcomes may include: - Reduced burnout and improved energy - Better sleep and stress recovery - Clearer boundaries at work and home - Increased emotional resilience - A structured, realistic plan to restore balance You don’t have to keep pushing through alone. This is support designed to help you protect your energy and build a life that sustains both your work and your well-being. Please note I am a counsellor for both the Crime Victims Assistance Program and Medavie Blue Cross military insurance coverage.
