About Heather

Heather completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 2007, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counselling in 2018. In addition to her work in private practice, Heather has also worked as a Youth & Family Counsellor and Primary Care Counsellor with community based agencies. She has experience working with a broad range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and trauma, and has successfully supported youth, adults and seniors in their journey toward living a more gratifying and fulfilling life. Heather's approach to counselling is rooted in the belief that each person’s path to healing is unique. She offers a comfortable and supportive space for client's to discover their strengths and move towards personal growth mentally, physically and emotionally. Heather has training and experience in a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including: EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Somatic & Mindfulness Based Therapy.
