About Harmehek

Harmehek is a University of Alberta graduate with a strong clinical background in pediatric physiotherapy, with a primary focus on infant development. She is passionate about supporting babies with concerns such as torticollis, head shape (plagiocephaly), and delayed gross motor skills—helping them achieve critical milestones like rolling, sitting, crawling, and walking through play-based and family-centered care. She has extensive experience treating infants and young children with neuromotor conditions, including cerebral palsy, gait abnormalities, and toe walking. Harmehek also works with adults and seniors, including clients recovering from orthopedic surgery (like knee and hip replacements) or neurological events such as stroke or traumatic brain injury. In addition to her pediatric expertise, Harmehek is certified in Level 1 Dry Needling and treats orthopedic injuries across all ages. Her treatment approach combines active listening, hands-on therapy, and collaborative goal setting, ensuring that both children and adults feel supported in their care. Harmehek works closely with families and healthcare professionals to create clear, practical treatment plans, empowering caregivers and patients alike. Her evidence-based strategies integrate therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and engaging, play-driven techniques to help each client reach their full potential.
