About Ghasem
Ghasem graduated in 1994 with a degree in Physiotherapy from SBU. After completing his studies, he spent 10 years as a clinical instructor at a university orthopedic hospital, where he mentored and educated physiotherapy students.
In 2006, Ghasem immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, as a skilled physiotherapist. He successfully upgraded his qualifications to achieve Master of Science equivalency in Physiotherapy from the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. By 2008, he passed the Canadian National Board Exam and began working at Ridge Meadows Hospital as an interim physiotherapist. He became fully licensed in 2009 and subsequently worked at Eagle Ridge, Royal Columbian Hospital, and various clinics across the Lower Mainland, treating a diverse range of patients and athletes.
With over 25 years of experience, Ghasem has developed his expertise in treating musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries. He addresses a wide range of conditions, including neck pain, lower back pain, sciatica, shoulder injuries (such as rotator cuff tears), knee injuries (including ACL reconstructions), nerve impingements, muscle strains, ligament sprains, and more.
Beyond his professional commitments, Ghasem enjoys staying active through weight lifting, running, swimming, hiking, and playing volleyball and soccer. He is also passionate about mentoring and supervising students from Simon Fraser University, providing training and guidance as they pursue admission to physiotherapy schools in Canada, Australia, and the UK.
