About Gail
Gail works with adults (40+) and couples on a variety of issues that interfere with quality of living - such as relationship stressors, symptoms of anxiety and depression, personality disorders and work stress/burnout.
Gail has thirty years of clinical experience, in private practice, secondary school and university counselling centres [Hillfield Strathallan College, Wilfred Laurier and Brock University]; hospital out-patient and community mental health clinics [Grand River Hospital and Joseph Brant Hospital], and as at several General Practitioner’s offices for the Hamilton Family Health Team. Gail continues to work with the FHT on their DBT team, co-leading Coping Skills groups. Gail is fully fully trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and also Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Polyvagal Theory, and practice these in a trauma-sensitive, emotionally-focused and interpersonal way. She also provides psycho-education and, if wanted, trauma-sensitive Restorative Yoga.
