About Francesca
I was drawn to speech-language pathology because communication is so closely connected to identity, confidence, and independence. I’m especially inspired by the brain’s capacity to adapt and recover, and by the meaningful relationships that develop through rehabilitation.
Supporting adults through neurological changes is at the core of my practice. I work with individuals navigating stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions that affect communication and cognition. I have a particular interest in cognitive-communication and aim to support clients in participating more confidently in daily life, work, and relationships.
I also work with individuals experiencing voice concerns, including those who rely on their voice professionally. Singing has been part of my life since childhood and continues to shape how I understand breath, vocal efficiency, and expression in therapy.
My approach is individualized, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and taking the time to understand what matters most to each person. Therapy is collaborative and goal-oriented, with strategies designed to feel relevant and sustainable.
Originally from Italy, I now call BC home. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my dog, skiing, surfing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
