Fil graduated from the massage therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and holds a Bachelors of Sciences degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University.
Having suffered his own fair share of injuries pushing his limits with strength training and bouldering, Fil gained a passion for learning about the intricacies of human movement and anatomy so that he could learn to prevent future injuries in both himself and others. This originally led him to pursue a career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Kinesiologist. With over 10 years of experience in the field, Fil has worked with a wide variety of clientele ranging from youth and varsity athletes to small business owners and weekend warriors. Over the years he has found it incredibly rewarding to see the profound difference the rehabilitative process makes in people’s lives which led him to pursue further education as an RMT, adding manual therapy to his toolkit.
His treatment style includes a variety of modalities such as deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, dynamic release, PNF stretching and joint mobilizations, in conjunction with movement and rehabilitative exercise.
When not working you can find Fil catching edges on his snowboard in the winter. In the summer you can find him bouldering, hiking and trail running on the local mountains.
