About Faizah
Faizah Latif, MSW, RSW, is a Registered Social Worker licensed in Ontario and Quebec and the Founder and Clinical Director of Duha Collective. She is passionate about creating a space where individuals feel seen, understood, and supported without having to leave parts of their identity at the door.
Faizah works virtually with individuals, couples, and families across Ontario, with a particular focus on supporting Muslim, BIPOC, and culturally diverse communities. Her clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity, relationships, emotion regulation, and life transitions. Her approach integrates evidence-based therapies with culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centred care.
Alongside private practice, Faizah serves as a Counsellor at the University of Waterloo, supporting post-secondary students through a wide range of mental health concerns. She also contributes to community education through workshops, speaking engagements, media interviews, and advocacy focused on making mental health more accessible and culturally responsive.
Faizah's work has been recognized nationally. She was named the 2026 GHP Culturally-Affirming Muslim Therapist of the Year (Canada), selected as a Reach Out Together Top 75 Mental Health Leader Finalist (2026), and was previously recognized as a Peer Support Excellence Award Finalist. She has also been featured on CBC Radio, podcasts, and in publications including Islamic Horizons, and was named one of Feedspot's Top Canadian Mental Health Influencers.
Whether working with clients or speaking in the community, Faizah's goal remains the same: to help people reconnect with themselves, strengthen self-trust, and discover that healing begins when people feel truly seen.
