#Esther Shim
Esther completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (2025) and is a member of the BCAK. Esther bases their practice on a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel confident in how their body moves, regardless of injury, pain, or disability.
Esther’s approach to active rehabilitation is deeply shaped by their time working with Special Olympics athletes. That experience highlighted the transformative power of adaptable, inclusive movement, inspiring a passion for helping clients overcome complex physical challenges.
Specializing in personalized exercise therapy, active rehabilitation, and functional strength, Esther looks beyond the immediate injury to address the whole person. By combining evidence-based exercise prescription with a supportive, client-led mindset, they help individuals rebuild their strength, restore daily function, and reclaim their physical independence.
Driven by a commitment to lifelong learning, Esther actively seeks out continuing education to refine their clinical practice and stay current with the latest in active recovery. Outside the clinic, you can usually find Esther staying active through weight training and bouldering, or relaxing at home with their cat.
