My name is Erin, I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
I believe in showing up authentically as a “fellow traveller” and a partner on your journey. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can get curious about your story and explore why you might be feeling stuck or unsure of yourself or your relationships.
Reaching out for support is a profound act of bravery! My collaborative, person-centred, trauma-informed approach is rooted in warmth and empathy for those navigating life’s challenges. I integrate “top-down” cognitive therapies, with “bottom-up” somatic practices like mindfulness to help you connect with your body’s wisdom and facilitate healing. This holistic approach supports clients in deepening self-compassion, radical acceptance and emotional regulation.
Before and during my clinical training, I spent many years in diverse educational and mentorship roles with children, teens, and adults. In my work with clients of all ages, I’m passionate about offering support in emotional literacy and building strong attachment relationships. I know how important it is to feel seen and less isolated during demanding seasons of life and times of transition, including pregnancy, postpartum, empty nesting, caregiving stress and new mental or physical health diagnoses. As a parent, I truly understand the challenges associated with prioritizing self-care and personal growth while being there for others.
My lived experience has shown me that therapy is not “one size fits all.” I lead with an inclusive and neuro-affirming approach that focuses on self-acceptance and self-advocacy. I will meet you where you are at, and together we’ll explore your identity, integrating culture and spirituality along with the personal values and practices that matter most in your life. You set the pace for our work, and we’ll collaborate on building strategies that align with your goals.
My professional training includes helping clients who are neurodivergent (ADHDers, autism and more). I support clients in managing anxiety and stress; depression and emotional regulation issues; grief counselling, including suicide loss; relational trauma and supporting gender-based violence survivors.
When I’m “off the clock” I’m inspired and calmed by nature-based experiences, swimming at a local beach, digging in my garden, propagating my many houseplants, or just being outdoors. I also find joy in creative endeavors: writing poetry, making art, taking photographs and creating beautiful meals to share with others. I love audiobooks, podcasts, good coffee and meaningful conversations.
If my therapeutic approach seems like a good fit, you are welcome to schedule a full session through my booking page. I would also be delighted to offer a free 15-minute consultation call to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for being here and feel free to reach out!
