About Emily
Emily Stewart is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a personal passion for health and well-being. She was drawn to study Osteopathy following the completion of her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics, because it embraces both a holistic and scientific approach to manual therapy. Emily graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and is a member of the reputable Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN) Association.
Emily’s goal is to ensure that every patient leaves the treatment feeling their best, and so her approach is centred on the unique needs and goals of each patient in that moment. Her treatments are rooted in Osteopathic Principles which recognize that the body is one dynamic unit of function -- if there is dysfunction in the structures of the body, it will impact the function. Guided by these principles and a deep understanding of human movement, Emily investigates the root cause of dysfunction, and improves alignment and motion of structures to help facilitate the body’s innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
