Ellyn operates within a holistic, trauma-informed, and strengths-oriented framework. Drawing from her own past as a competitive synchronized swimmer and coach, Ellyn is attuned to the mental well-being of athletes. She’s equally dedicated to assisting post-secondary students and young professionals in their unique journeys.
Ellyn is a Registered Social Worker who attended and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Contemporary Studies, as well as a Masters in Social Work. As a Certified Sports Social Worker and in ongoing pursuit of a diploma from the International Olympic Committee for Mental Health in Elite Sport, Ellyn is committed to staying at the forefront of athlete mental health. Ellyn brings a wealth of experience from diverse settings, including correctional, educational, sports, and community-based mental health and addiction treatment contexts, making her your ultimate teammate in your therapeutic journey.
