Ellis Cheng, RMT made a switch in career path from sales in a software tech company to registered massage therapy because he wanted to be more involved with helping everyone he meets. As an RMT, he gets to take his time to assist, build trust, assess and understand the individuals who are coming into the clinic looking for solutions to help manage their aches and pains.
His practice incorporates: general Swedish massage, trigger points release, pin and stretch and passive stretching into the treatment plan.
Outside of work Ellis enjoys practicing Kendo, a Japanese sword martial art, at UBC. He has been practicing Kendo for over 12 years and is currently helping to train new members with his knowledge in Kendo, as well as the education he received in massage therapy regarding the biomechanics of the body.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his husky (Thor), listening to music, gaming, travelling yearly to Japan, and eating!
