Ellen is a registered physical therapist and PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia who works with people living with chronic conditions, and movement challenges. Her current research centers on promoting physical activity for people living with osteoarthritis and inflammatory arthritis—ensuring care is grounded in the latest evidence and tailored to real-life needs.
In addition to her clinical practice, Ellen co-teaches Rheumatology in UBC’s Department of Physical Therapy and contributes to developing international osteoarthritis guidelines, translating research into practical care.
Ellen is certified in BoneFit™ and GLA:D® Arthritis and has over six years of experienceteaching yoga and fitness. She has also completed Pelvic Floor Level 1 and Level 2 training, allowing her to take a whole-body approach to movement and rehabilitation.
Beyond the clinic, she serves as Programs Coordinator at Arthritis Consumer Experts and as a Board member of the Sjögren’s Society of Canada, advocating for accessible, patient-centred care.care.
