Eliza Stopa- Speech-Language Pathologist Eliza is a Speech-Language Pathologist and Clinical Lead at Allied Therapy with experience across a range of paediatric settings, including early intervention, private practice, public schools, and specialized education programs. She has supported infants, toddlers, preschool- and school-aged children, and autistic children with diverse communication and developmental needs. Eliza has a particular passion for early language development and enjoys working with young children during the foundational years of communication. She supports late talkers, children with speech and language delays, and children with articulation and phonological challenges. Her approach emphasizes practical strategies that families can incorporate into everyday routines, helping communication skills develop in the environments where children naturally live, learn, and play. She also has a strong interest in literacy and reading development and has completed advanced training as a Reading Specialist as well as Orton-Gillingham certification. This background allows her to support foundational literacy skills alongside speech and language development, particularly for children experiencing challenges with reading and written language. Eliza values collaborative, multidisciplinary care and is strongly aligned with neurodiversity-affirming practice. She works alongside families and other professionals to develop individualized therapy plans that recognize each child's strengths, communication style, needs, and goals. Her experience also includes supporting autistic individuals and children with complex communication needs, as well as adults with ADHD seeking practical strategies for communication, organization, and executive functioning in everyday life. After working in the Boston area across school and private practice settings, Eliza is relocating to Halifax and joining Allied Therapy's collaborative clinical team. She is excited to work alongside families and other clinicians to help clients build meaningful communication skills, confidence, and greater participation in everyday life. Eliza provides in person Speech-Language Pathology at Allied Therapy’s Bedford clinic, community-based support, and virtual services across Nova Scotia.
