About Edgar
Where are you from?
I was born in Guatemala and raised in Vancouver from the age of three.
What were you doing before pursuing RMT?
Before starting my journey at VCMT, I ran a media company that partnered with fitness gyms to help them grow their social media presence and I also worked as a personal trainer. Health and movement have always been a big part of my life.
Why do you want to be an RMT?
What drew me to massage therapy was experiencing firsthand how powerful it can be for recovery and performance. After seeing the difference it made in my own body, I knew I wanted to offer that same kind of support to others in their recovery and wellness journeys.
How do you like to spend your time outside of work/school?
Outside of school, you’ll usually find me staying active whether it’s playing soccer, going for a run, or lifting weights.
What is your favourite thing about VCMT?
What I love most about VCMT is the sense of community. Going through this intense program with such a supportive group makes the experience more meaningful and a lot more fun.
