About Dylan

Dylan is a born and raised Calgarian. He obtained a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Kinesiology, from the University of Calgary. Dylan then moved to Australia, where he completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy Degree at Bond University on the Gold Coast. Following a move to Perth, he furthered his studies by completing a Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy with a Musculoskeletal Specialization at Curtin University. Dylan is also certified in functional dry needling. Dylan has extensive experience in the private practice setting and has developed a special interest in treating neck, shoulder and spinal disorders using manual therapy, spinal manipulations, dry needling techniques and exercise prescription. What’s your treatment philosophy? Dylan listens attentively to the patient’s story and utilizes an evidence-informed assessment in order to create a specific management plan, resulting in significant long-term outcomes. What are your areas of expertise and interest? During his time working in Australia, Dylan has been able to extensively develop his manual therapy skills. This allows him to effectively assess and treat complex spinal pain. Dylan has completed research profiling the injuries of Australian Army Reservists, which led to an interest in the management of lower limb injuries, specifically in the hip and knee. What are your interests outside of work? Outside of work, Dylan can be found spending time with his wife and two toddlers. He enjoys playing hockey, downhill mountain biking, and golfing when he can. How do you take care of your body/prevent injuries? Having dealt with many injuries over the years through sport and recreation, Dylan has found a balance of strength training and mobility to help prevent and manage these issues. He plays hockey year round, even when he was in Australia, and cycles to and from work.
