About Dylan

Dylan Dahl is a Registered Massage Therapist and the owner of Pacific Spirit Massage Therapy, located at the University of British Columbia. Dylan provides evidence-informed, therapeutic massage with a focus on pain relief, injury recovery, and improving movement quality for both active and non-active populations. Dylan graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster in 2018 and has over 7 years of clinical experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. He has experience working with a wide range of athletes, from recreational and high-level competitors to professional-level athletes, as well as students and individuals managing chronic pain. Dylan commonly treats postural strain related to prolonged studying or desk work, sports and weightlifting injuries, nerve-related symptoms, and persistent muscle tension. Dylan integrates Active Release Therapy (ART), scar tissue management, myofascial release, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM/scraping) into his treatments when clinically appropriate. His approach is active, hands-on, targeted, and individualized, with an emphasis on restoring tissue quality, reducing pain, and supporting long-term function. Dylan believes strongly in patient education and collaborative care, helping clients better understand their bodies while supporting sustainable results through tailored home care strategies. Outside the clinic, Dylan has a strong background in baseball, skiing, hiking, basketball, golf and many other sports. He also works as a Clinical Instructor for the WCCMTs UBC Varsity Athlete outreach. This firsthand experience with athletic movement and physical demands informs his practical, results-driven treatment style and his ability to relate to active individuals across a wide range of activities.

The massage therapist was really good and could isolate and target the muscle groups that had tightened up. He was also very knowledgeable and helpful in answering all my questions.
