About Talia

Dr. Talia LaForest is a family chiropractor with an evidence-based, patient-centred approach to care. Her goal is simple: to help patients continue doing what they love, for as long as they’d like to. She is passionate about helping individuals and families improve their movement, function, and overall quality of life through personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. Originally from Durham Region and proud to still call it home, Dr. Talia completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from York University before earning her chiropractic Doctorate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has additional training in pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is Webster Technique Certified. She is also certified in medical acupuncture, allowing her to incorporate a variety of treatment approaches into patient care. Before pursuing chiropractic, Dr. Talia spent over 10 years as a competitive dancer and nearly a decade coaching gymnastics. These experiences helped develop her appreciation for movement, rehabilitation, and working with children and families, something that continues to influence her approach to care today. Dr. Talia uses a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises, acupuncture, and patient education to help patients feel and function at their best. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys strength training, camping, spending time up north, and staying active outdoors with family and friends.
