About Shana

Dr. Dowdell focuses on promoting and maintaining overall health and prevention of disease. She was born and raised in Windsor Ontario. She attended the University of Windsor where she earned her Bachelors degree in Science with an honours in Biology. She then attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto Ontario where she completed the 4 year program with extra training in adjunctive cancer care. As a cancer survivor herself, her passion lies in adjunctive cancer care. She believes in the importance of collaboration between practitioners to best serve the patient and that prevention using natural treatments can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life. Her other areas of interest include dermatological issues, autoimmune disease, digestive imbalances and pain relief. In her free time she enjoys being in the outdoors, going for hikes, fishing, camping and gardening.
