Going to the dentist has always been an enjoyable experience for Dr. Hajee, and with no surprise he decided to make a career out of it. Dr. Shamil Hajee grew up in Burnaby, where he graduated from Simon Fraser University with a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. After a brief period of working in Cancer Research, he went on to receive his D.M.D. from The University of Sydney, in Australia. During his time there, he was actively involved in the community as a volunteer in several outreach programs as well as providing dental care in under-serviced areas. Dr. Hajee has a strong belief in taking the time to get to know his patients, specifically their needs and goals for their overall health. His objective is to work together with his patients to deliver the best possible dental care . Dr. Hajee is passionate about continuing education to further improve his skills and knowledge in all aspects of dentistry. His favourite aspects include: Restorative Dentistry , Oral Surgery as well as Cosmetic Dentistry to help his patients feel confident in their smile. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hajee enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through activities such as running, hiking and cycling. He enjoys live music and comedy and is always looking for a good laugh. He is also an avid traveler and loves taking every opportunity to experience new food and culture with his wife and daughter.
