About Shahin

Psychological well-being is an important foundation for overall health, meaningful relationships, and a fulfilling life. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges and helping them move toward greater well-being, resilience, and personal growth. I strive to create a supportive and compassionate space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences openly. My goal is to help individuals build insight, develop practical coping tools, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives and relationship. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Adler University in 2025. Through my doctoral-level training and clinical experience, I have developed expertise in providing evidence-based psychological services to support individuals across the lifespan. I completed my residency training with a focus on psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families. My clinical work includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, borderline personality disorder (BPD), substance use concerns, trauma, peer and relationship difficulties, and racial identity. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s unique strengths, experiences, and goals. I provide evidence-based assessment and therapy services for individuals, children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I use an integrative, client-centred approach tailored to each individual’s needs and goals, drawing from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Art-Informed and Experiential Therapy, and Gottman Method Therapy. Dr. Sanaei is available to see clients aged 5 years old or older. Please note all the children and adolescent sessions are conducted in-person, and adult individual and couple therapy sessions are available in-person and via telehealth.
