Dr. Shimada specializes in neurology-based acupuncture, combining Western and Eastern medicine to balance approaches for optimal, effective results. He strongly believes that multidisciplinary approaches in merging fields to prioritize patients' well-being are the key to success. First practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine in Japan, Taiwan, and China before moving to the UK/North America/Canada to complete his studies and treat a wide range of conditions from nerve impingement (even perceived tennis elbow can be nerve impingement coming from the cervical dorsal nerve roots), neuropathy - Sensory nerves, Motor and even Autonomic Nerves; Pain management; Musculoskeletal disorders (ie., neck, shoulder, and lower back pain); Headaches and Migraines; Mental Health (ie. Anxiety, Stress management and Depression); Gastrointestinal - GI Tract Disorders; Woman's Health - OBGYN; Breathing Disorders; Restless leg syndrome, Plantar Fasciitis, just to name a few.
