About Mike

Sport Chiropractor and Owner FRCCSS(C) Fellowship in Sports Sciences ICSC International Certified Sports Chiropractor Dr. Mike Hadbavny is a Doctor of Chiropractic and Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (FRCCSS(C)), one of the highest post-graduate designations available to chiropractors in Canada. He is also an International Certified Sports Chiropractor (ICSC), reflecting advanced clinical training in the assessment and management of sport and musculoskeletal injury. A graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and Brock University's physical education program, Dr. Hadbavny has been practicing on the Saanich Peninsula for over a decade. Over his career, Dr. Hadbavny has worked with athletes at every level — from local recreational players to national and international competitors. He has served as team chiropractor for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League, the Victoria Grizzlies of the BCHL, and the Victoria Highlanders FC, and has provided sport medicine support at events including the Canada Games, the Invictus Games Vancouver, the World Games in Chengdu, and BC Summer and Winter Games. His clinical focus is on getting patients back to what they love — whether that's a return-to-sport timeline for a competitive athlete or reducing pain and restoring function for someone managing a work or everyday injury. Dr. Hadbavny's treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy, Active Release Technique (ART), rehabilitation, and athletic taping, tailored to each patient's goals and activity level. He has additional training in sideline evaluation, emergency first response, and player safety through the Canadian Red Cross, Hockey Canada, and World Rugby. As the owner of Saanichton Chiropractic, he is committed to building a clinic that serves the full community — from competitive athletes pushing their limits to patients simply looking to move and feel better day to day.
