Dr. Maryellen Tedeschi, ND is passionately leading the way with her naturally-focused and research-driven approach to women’s health. Her practice is dedicated to empowering individuals to reclaim their health and achieve optimal wellness at every stage of life.
Dr. Maryellen's journey into the field of Naturopathic Medicine began when she was completing her undergraduate degree in Life Sciences at McMaster University, where her experience with a Naturopathic Doctor transformed her own hormonal imbalances. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Maryellen is a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) with prescribing rights, and is an active member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Dr. Maryellen is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and is dedicated to providing patients with informed and empowered care during the menopause transition and beyond.
At the core of Dr. Maryellen's clinical interests lies a comprehensive focus on women's health and hormones. Whether navigating the complexities of peri-menopause and menopause, investigating underlying factors contributing to weight gain including insulin resistance, addressing hormonal conditions such as PCOS/PMOS, endometriosis or hypothyroidism, Dr. Maryellen is committed to helping you understand the connections between symptoms so that you can make empowered decisions when it comes to your health. By asking critical questions, obtaining a comprehensive health history, and analyzing blood work and lab testing, Dr. Maryellen is determined to connect the dots between your symptoms and highlighting a path forward. Your personalized treatment plan will be tailored to suit your specific needs, including a combination of foundational nutrition and supplement recommendations, vitamin injections, bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT) and natural desiccated thyroid (NDT). Dr. Maryellen is also trained to perform pap tests in office as part of your comprehensive health assessment, if needed.
