About Manj

Dr. Manj Bath, PsyD, R.Psych., is the CEO and Clinical Director of MindRight Counselling & Consulting. He is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) and a Licensed Psychologist in Washington State. Dr. Manj is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and evidence-based care. He believes that meaningful change happens through strong therapeutic relationships, where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life they want to live. Dr. Manj earned his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle, completing his doctoral internship at Western Washington University (WWU) in Bellingham, Washington. He also holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Over the past 15 years, Dr. Manj has worked across Canada and the United States in hospitals, community mental health, government agencies, private practice, and not-for-profit organizations. His experience includes providing individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. He has also worked extensively with Vancouver Coastal Health, the Governments of British Columbia and Alberta, and community organizations, conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, risk and suicide assessments, and evidence-based interventions for a wide range of mental health concerns. Dr. Manj's approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each person's unique experiences and goals. He integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches within a holistic biopsychosocial framework. Whether clients are working through anxiety, trauma, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, or questions around purpose and identity, his goal is to help them develop lasting insight, resilience, and meaningful change. He has a particular interest in supporting adolescents and young adults, especially men who are navigating emotional regulation, identity development, aggression, and finding a sense of purpose. Dr. Manj also works extensively with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), helping partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust after betrayal or infidelity, and deepen emotional connection. Dr. Manj's research focuses on the intersection of trauma, technology, and behavioural addiction. His doctoral dissertation led to the development of the EMDR Gaming Recovery & Insight Protocol (E-GRIP), an innovative protocol designed to address problematic video gaming, social media use, irritability, anger, and aggression through the lens of EMDR therapy. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Manj teaches graduate-level counselling students and enjoys mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals. He is available for media interviews, podcasts, keynote presentations, and educational workshops on topics including trauma, mental health, addiction, men's mental health, neurodiversity, purpose and meaning, and psychological wellness.
