About Lindsay

After over 15 years of working in mental performance in NCAA Division I athletics programs, Dr. Ross-Stewart returned to her home city of Winnipeg and joined STRIVE in 2022. Dr. Ross-Stewart spent 2014 to 2022 as the Director of Mental Performance for the SIUE Cougars in the Ohio Valley Conference (NCAA D.I). Within this position Dr. Ross-Stewart worked with teams, coaches, and individual athletes to help them develop their mental game for optimal sport performance. Dr. Ross-Stewart is an Association for Applied Sport Psychology Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and a Registered Mentor. She is also a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association. Dr, Ross-Stewart was named the Ohio Valley Conference Student Success Faculty Member of the Year and the Association of Applied Sport Psychology 2024 Faculty Excellence Award Winner. Dr. Ross-Stewart is a Full Professor in the Department of Exercise, Sport, and Nutrition Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Ross-Stewart obtained her PhD in Psychology and her M.S in Kinesiology from the University of North Dakota, and her B.A. in Psychology from Mount Allison University. Dr. Ross-Stewart has published over 25 articles and presented over 75 times at national and international conferences.
