Having graduated from the University of Sydney, John has been a practising physiotherapist for over 30 years, working in Australia and abroad. He also has a Bachelor of Medical Science, majoring in Anatomy. These complementary degrees serve to strengthen his knowledge of normal and pathological anatomy and physiology.
John has a PhD in low back pain and has researched innovative diagnostic and treatment techniques, which he brings to his clinical practice on a daily basis.
John has a post-graduate Certificate in Acupuncture, and uses this as an adjunct to manual therapy to achieve deeper pain relief and muscle relaxation. He has also trained in Advanced Manual Therapy of the lumbar spine, pelvis, thoracic spine and ribs. He is accredited in “Clinical Pilates”, utilising Pilates principles in injury and sports rehabilitation. John is also an experienced TMJ (jaw) physiotherapist.
