About Jessica

Dr. Jessica Carfagnini ND returned to her hometown of Thunder Bay to practice as a fully licensed Naturopathic Doctor in 2011. Her practice includes addressing health issues across the life spectrum, but she has a special interest in women’s health, hormonal balance, fertility, fatigue, and stress/burnout. Jessica completed additional training to become IV certified and has gained knowledge and experience in supporting patients diagnosed with cancer. Her background in counselling has led to a focus on helping patients address anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma. Dr. Jessica is currently working on a Master in Health Sciences degree with a specialization in Indigenous and Northern Health at Lakehead University. Her thesis research will explore the experiences of First Nations patients who have accessed naturopathic medicine in Thunder Bay, and may help to elucidate the role of naturopathic medicine in the future of Indigenous-led healthcare. Jessica is a fierce advocate for health equity and is working towards increased accessibility of integrative patient-centred care for all people in Ontario. She has served as a Director on the Board of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors since 2019.
