I am currently away from the office on a short maternity leave. Dr. Amanda Laser will be covering my practice! Dr. Valente is a passionate naturopathic doctor who strives to create sustainable lifestyle changes that foster balance between health and living. Working with individuals to optimize their energy and wellness is at the core of her philosophy. As a partner in ones health journey, Dr. Valente, ND acts as a personal detective to determine the cause of ones presenting symptoms. She uses advanced functional testing when needed to uncover answers so that her patients get long-lasting results. At the end of the day Dr. Valente, ND preaches that more sleep is better than less, eating healthy most days is better than none and spending more time with family is better than without. Dr. Valente, ND graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and is licensed to practice naturopathy in Ontario. She is currently a member in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Dr. Valente, ND previously graduated from McGill University, earning a Bachelor of Science in the field of Kinesiology. She completed her Naturopathic Internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) with a focus in Pediatrics, the Brampton Naturopathic Teaching Clinic (BNTC) and the Sherbourne Health Centre. Dr. Valente, ND has successfully passed the Ontario Prescribing and Therapeutics Exam, allowing her to prescribe scheduled substances to further benefit her patients. Additionally, she is able to administer vitamin B12 injections, create customized topical formulas for her adult and pediatric patients and prescribe select hormone therapies to new and existing patients. Dr. Valente, ND has a strong interest in managing Pediatric Concerns, Infertility, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), Menstrual Irregularities, Female Hormone Imbalances, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth (SIBO), Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) and Thyroid Disorders.
