About Chris

Dr. Chris McCarthy graduated in 2010 from the Canadian Chiropractic Memorial College on the Dean’s list with cum laude honours and clinic honours. He joined The Physio Center in 2012 and has been a partner since 2015. Chris utilizes many therapeutic treatment approaches (including rehabilitation exercises, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy, manipulations, and others) to help patients recover and get back to doing what they like to do! In his time away from the clinic, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Sara and their three kids, Anna, Caleb and Finn.

“I am 27 weeks pregnant and I have been dealing with an annoying dry cough for 5 weeks now. Two days ago, I coughed so hard I felt a pop in my side/back, I could hardly move without excruciating pain. I was desperate to find someone to try and help me with the pain, I contacted 6 different people the next day. My RMT fit me in and lucky for me, Chris McCarthy was also able to see me. While my RMT did his very best, he could only do so much with me for treatment and he suggested I see a chiropractor. Chris very quickly diagnosed the issue as a strained intercostal muscle and provided some treatment, taped me up, sent me home with instructions on how to continue treatment at home. He advised me, if I felt it necessary, to come back to see him next week. I went home that night still in pain but hopeful I would heal quickly. I’m so excited to say that I woke up this morning with minimal pain! I can’t thank you enough for seeing me yesterday. Your kindness and professionalism was much appreciated and I will definitely be back to see you should I ever require a chiropractor in the future.”
