About Carter

Born and raised in Southey, Saskatchewan, Dr. Carter Nameth has always had a strong connection to sport, movement, and active living. A lifelong hockey player with more than 20 years on the ice, along with seven years of experience in powerlifting, his own involvement in sport helped shape his interest in human movement and ultimately led him to a career in chiropractic care. Carter completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Human Kinetics, in 2022 before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa — widely recognized as the birthplace of the chiropractic profession. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June 2025. During his three years at Palmer, Carter balanced his studies with playing on the college hockey team and serving as a teaching assistant in several areas, including Gross Anatomy, Spinal Anatomy, Radiology, and Neuromuscular Systems. His strong interest in anatomy, movement, and clinical reasoning continues to influence the way he approaches patient care today. Carter has pursued additional education in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and the McKenzie Method, with a particular interest in working with active individuals and helping patients better understand how their bodies move. His philosophy of care is simple: movement is medicine. Carter places a strong emphasis on patient education and believes treatment should go beyond simply addressing symptoms. His goal is to help patients understand what may be contributing to their pain or movement limitations, improve how their body moves, and provide practical exercises and strategies they can incorporate into everyday life. Carter enjoys working with patients of all ages and adapts his treatment approach to each individual, including those who prefer a gentler style of chiropractic care. His treatment techniques may include Gonstead, Diversified, Activator, Flexion-Distraction, McKenzie, Thompson, kinesiology taping, and a variety of soft tissue techniques. Clinical interests include : musculoskeletal and joint pain, neck and back pain, sports and activity-related injuries, movement assessment and dysfunction, active rehabilitation and exercise, injury prevention, patient education and self-management, and Chiropractic care across all ages. Outside of the clinic, Carter is usually staying active — whether he’s at the gym, playing hockey, or learning how to golf. When he isn’t moving, you may find him checking out a new coffee shop, watching home renovation shows, or attempting to perfect another gluten-free recipe. Carter looks forward to helping patients better understand their bodies, move with confidence, and stay active in the things that matter most to them.
