About Brad
About Me: I am a registered clinical, school, and forensic psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario. I obtained my doctoral degree from Western University. Before joining the Ottawa Centre for Resilience (OCFR), I trained and worked in schools, community mental health, youth justice, day treatment, and private practice settings. Most recently, in addition to my work with the OCFR, I worked as a psychologist with the Ottawa Catholic School Board.
Who I Work With:
• Children
• Teenagers
• Parents
• Caregivers (including kin and foster)
• Juvenile offenders
How I Can Help:
I provide treatment to children, adolescents, and parents managing various challenges, including emotional and behavioural regulation problems, anxiety and depressive disorders, suicidal ideation and self-harm, problematic substance use, and self-esteem issues. I have experience supporting clients with neurodevelopmental disabilities (e.g., ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Learning and Intellectual Disabilities), developmental trauma, and concurrent mental health challenges. My forensic work includes therapy and assessment services for adolescents involved (or at risk of becoming involved) in the justice system. I complete youth justice (Sec.34), secure treatment (Sec.163), voice of the child, and risk assessments (general, violence, and sexual risk).
My Approach:
In all facets of my work, I strive toward being relationship-driven, collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based.
Tools I Use:
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
