About Allison
Dr. Allison Legg graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Science before pursuing a Masters degree from the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Allison went on to achieve a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. During her time at CMCC Dr. Allison completed studies in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University, as well as continuing education courses focusing on gentle chiropractic techniques such as Activator, and Thompson techniques together with Chiropractic care for sensitive populations (pregnant women, children, and geriatric patients).
Dr. Allison believes the cornerstone of chiropractic care is the body’s distinctive ability to heal. Treatments are personalized to each patient, taking advantage of the body’s natural healing properties to expedite the healing process, decreasing pain, and returning the patient to a state of optimal health and function.
Dr. Allison has a special interest in the treatment neck pain, pregnancy and perinatal treatment, as well as geriatric care and acupuncture. She believes that clear communication and patient education are imperative to providing the best possible patient care. When a patient understands their injury they are better suited to become an active member in their own health.
Dr. Allison strives to achieve a healthy work-life balance; when she is not practicing she enjoys running, recreational slow-pitch, ladies hockey as well as spending time with her family and friends.
