About Donaria
Donna works with youth (5+) and adults experiencing difficulties related to trauma, anxiety, substance use, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and general life stressors.
Donna is a Registered Social Worker and graduate of the University of Windsor (Master of Social Work) and University of Guelph (Master of Science in Family and Social Relations, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology).
She has enjoyed a long career working with youth, adults, couples, and families experiencing life challenges. Donna has provided extensive support to Youth Justice through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services; assisted couples and families navigate difficult life transitions.
Donna’s approaches are trauma-informed and strength-bases. Interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Along with a BSW and MSW in social work, Donna is currently pursuing a PhD in Thanatology which she plans on using to support individuals from a spiritual perspective. In her spare time she enjoys being with family and celebrating her nieces and nephews milestones.
