About Dimitra

Dimitra is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP), and Teacher at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy (AIM). Dimitra studied at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy in Toronto and graduated with High Honours. She also received the Kuzuya Award for academic excellency. Her practice is informed by both ancient and contemporary healing methods and she continues to actively pursue post-graduate studies focusing particularly on the areas of Sleep, Nutrition, and Autoimmune Conditions. As a practitioner, Dimitra is focused on building a real relationship with you. She is committed to understanding and getting to the root of your ailments and provides treatment tailored to you as an individual. She encourages and teaches practices for building a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, movement, and rest, and believes that simple interventions can lead to the greatest changes over time. Dimitra is dedicated to providing treatments which empower and invite people into a greater level of embodiment. She believes that in order to heal we must feel, and this requires support on multiple levels. Dimitra offers a container of compassionate and non-judgmental presence, inviting people to show up as they are; feeling seen, cared for and tended to. Dimitra is greatly influenced by nature and emphasizes the importance of connection to Earth with those she works with. She finds that moving in flow with the seasons and making space to appreciate the beauty within nature are simple yet powerful ways everybody can elevate their health on a daily basis.
