About Derick

Derick graduated from the Fitness and Health Promotion Program at Fanshawe College, earning his certification as a Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). He later became a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). As a certified Massage Therapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach, Derick is committed to helping clients achieve their rehabilitation and performance goals. He specializes in working with athletes and individuals recovering from or preventing injury, developing personalized treatment plans and training programs that support recovery, enhance performance, and promote long-term wellness. Derick uses baseline testing metrics, including VALD, VO2 max, strength testing, and body fat percentage, to track performance and progress. With a background in competitive hockey and as a team trainer, Derick integrates sports-specific mobilizations, targeted stretches, myofascial release techniques, and corrective exercises into his practice to ensure optimal recovery and peak performance. As a member of both the CMTO and CSEP, he upholds the highest professional standards in every aspect of his work.
