Derek graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Physical Therapy after completing a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from the University of Fraser Valley. With a keen interest in continuing education Derek has completed study in advanced manual therapy and manipulation techniques, dry needling, active release, mobilization with movement and concussion management. Derek believes in treating the underlying cause to maximize function and minimize the risk of re-injury through manual release, dry needling and specific targeted exercises. Derek finds no greater joy than using his knowledge and skills to allow others to participate and excel in what they love.
