About Denisa

Denisa Suteu is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work Degree who is passionate about supporting individuals through the complexities of the perinatal period and parenthood. As a mother herself, Denisa understands both the beauty and challenges that can arise throughout pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, reproductive loss, and the transition into parenthood. Denisa has completed specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, Infertility, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Perinatal Mental Health, Loss and Reproductive Technologies, and Bereavement After a Pregnancy Loss. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed approaches to provide compassionate, client-centred care tailored to each individual’s unique experiences and needs. Prior to her clinical work, Denisa taught social work and psychology courses and supported research focused on perinatal wellbeing and infant and child mental health. Through these experiences, she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between caregiver mental health, attachment, bonding, and infant development. She is especially passionate about supporting caregivers in being compassionate with themselves while navigating the beauty, overwhelm, and identity changes that often accompany parenthood.
