About Denae
Welcome. I am honoured to be with you, and to help you rely on your own wholeness as you move through pain into resilience and wellbeing. I welcome the opportunity to work with people from all identities, backgrounds, and stages of life.
My therapeutic practice is grounded in my values of love, honesty, strength and professionalism. My vision is a community filled with healthy, happy, and mentally well people living in connection with themselves, others, and nature.
I work from a humanistic and bio-psycho-social-spiritual orientation, and integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Solutions-Focused, and other evidence based modalities. I am trained in Prepare-Enrich Marriage/Couples Counselling.
I have a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University, with experience as a youth support worker, crisis line respondent, and community resource specialist.
I have the unique experience of living in Alberta as a child and adult, and in Mexico as a teenager (yes I can work in Spanish). I maintain my own wellbeing through yoga, gardening, hiking and quality time with family and friends. Let's connect today!
