As a psychologist it is my role to provide a safe, non-judgemental and compassionate space to explore concerns as they arise. I honour the strengths and abilities that each person brings to therapy and use these as important and valuable resources to move toward wellness. Equality and understanding problems within the context in which they occur are also important tenants of my work. Through connection and collaboration, I work together with clients to find the right solutions for them. I appreciate the uniqueness in each person and therefore, I tailor therapy to suit each individual, presenting issue, and goal. I draw on principles of Attachment-Based, Cognitive Behavioural, Compassion Focused, Emotion Focused, Hakomi, and Mindfulness-Based Therapies. I may also utilize strategies and techniques from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, or Clinical Hypnosis. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of capacities. I have a special interest in attachment issues, women's concerns, and holistic therapy. I have considerable experience working with survivors of family violence and trauma recovery.
