About David

David moved to Canada from Taiwan at ten years old, and has since called Coquitlam home. He attended [Simon Fraser University](https://www.sfu.ca/) for his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology before going to [Queen’s University](https://www.queensu.ca/) for his Masters in Physical Therapy. Before going into physiotherapy, David worked in kinesiology with patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents. This is where he learned and saw firsthand the benefits of active exercise as part of the rehabilitation process. Today, exercise is still very much an essential part of his treatments. David finds satisfaction in helping his patients feel better, which is a driving force in his offering as many treatment modalities as possible for his patients. He has taken post-graduate courses on manual therapy, vestibular therapy, concussion therapy, taping and is certified in acupuncture and Gunn IMS. In his spare time, David enjoys hanging out with his wife and sons. His favorite sports are snowboarding, basketball and volleyball.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went to see David Lee for the first time with a doctor’s diagnosis of hip bursitis. Rather than simply accepting the diagnosis, David took the time to perform a thorough assessment and quickly identified that my pain was actually being caused by very tight hip flexor muscles. He treated me with IMS therapy, and I experienced significant pain relief almost immediately. I was incredibly impressed by how patient, knowledgeable, professional, and caring he was throughout the entire appointment. He explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel heard and confident in the treatment plan. The office staff were equally wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and efficient. I can’t recommend David Lee and his clinic highly enough. Five stars simply doesn’t seem like enough for the level of care I received. If you’re dealing with pain and looking for a physiotherapist who takes the time to truly understand the root cause of the problem, I would highly recommend booking an appointment with David. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
