About Cynthia

Seeking therapy is a meaningful step, often shaped by some of our most vulnerable experiences. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out, and I strive to offer a warm, supportive, and grounded space where you can safely explore what you’re going through. I view emotions as valuable sources of information that can guide us toward growth and self-understanding. My approach is non-pathologizing and focused on helping you shift patterns that no longer serve you in practical, sustainable ways. I am a firm believer that greatness often lies outside of our comfort zone, and I can provide the gentle challenge needed to help you orient towards your most authentic self. However, my deep commitment to collaboration also means that I will walk alongside you at a pace that feels right for you. Rooted in a person-centred approach, I will meet you where you are beyond labels or diagnoses. I have training in emotion-focused therapy (EFT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed therapy. I also integrate narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and internal family systems (IFS) so that our work together is uniquely tailored towards implementing the changes that you would like to see. I also bring a holistic understanding of how economic, social, and systemic factors impact mental health that can make it feel less overwhelming to navigate a system that doesn’t always feel designed for our success. I have over six years of experience working in community and mental health settings. I work with children and youth (13+), adults, couples, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, cultural and racial identity, and life transitions. Outside of my professional role, I’m a wife, mother, and friend who feels most grounded in nature, whether outdoors or surrounded by the many plants in my home. The values I bring into the therapy room are an extension of who I am. If this resonates with you, I invite you to book a free 15-minute consultation so we can explore how I can support you on your journey towards greater growth and healing.
